Disgrace 2016 – 2020

Traditionally, shame has been considered something essential, I’m the wrong kind, I’m not valid. The title of the series in English, “Disgrace,” describes the feeling of shame very well. Then man is detached from grace and unable to accept himself. This series explores this experience of being without grace and is a kind of visual diary. In these works  shame manifests itself as both a personal and a social phenomenon. The drawings are rough, even haunting, but several of the works also contain absurd humor. 67 small pencil drawings are 15 x 15 cm in size.
